We are currently recruiting for support workers and a part time minibus driver.

Support Workers - £8.52ph

We are looking for support workers to help us support our daytime and domiciliary services for adults and our evening and holiday clubs for children and young people across Ipswich

Support workers must be patient and versatile and be prepared to participate in all activities chosen by our customers. When necessary they will also be required to provide dignified, personal care and to support our customers using wheelchairs. Full training will be provided to assist staff to carry out the role efficiently and effectively. A copy of job description is here

Minibus Driver £9.07ph

We are looking to recruit a part time driver to drive our wheelchair adapted minibuses to transport our customers to our day centre for people with learning disabilities in the morning and return them home in the afternoon. It is therefore essential that you have the correct driving license to allow you to drive these vehicles (D1).

As a driver you will be expected to drive Genesis vehicles so that the health, safety and wellbeing of passengers is maintained at all times and to work closely with an escort during all journeys. This may entail looking after customers if an emergency situation or first aid problem occurs during a journey

There is some flexibility on the hours and days but typically this will entail driving for 1.5 hours between 07:45 and 10.00 and another 1.5 hours between 15:15 and 17:00.
